Change of plans - amazing results
What a gem of a place. Rebecca and James are so welcoming, the date and walnut cake on arrival was gorgeous, and the fresh milk in a little bottle made the start of our break so special.
Everything was perfect. The room is so comfortable and every amenity is considered. Nothing is too much trouble for these amazing owners.
A must try is the evening supper slate, perfect end to a day out.

Simply The Best
Second stay at this Guesthouse. The rooms are of the highest standard the beds are so comfy. We stayed in room 6 - it's just had a very comfy sofa added, everywhere is spotlessly clean. The bathroom has a bath & shower and the towels are luxurious so thick & soft. The breakfast is fantastic everything cooked fresh and of the highest quality and plenty of choice - can't fault it. The hosts James & Rebecca are both lovely nothing is too much trouble, its that good we have already booked for October can't recommend it enough.

Gem by the seaside
This lovely boutique guest house was an amazing find. Situated near the Spa area of Scarborough, the owners have produced a great friendly and inviting venue. Our room was tastefully decorated and the entire property was immaculate. Bed was really comfy. Rebecca and James go out of their way to make you feel welcome, without being intrusive, and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent
This is a lovely period house in the south of Scarborough. It is handily placed for the town and the beach and Rebecca and James have done a wonderful job of interior decoration and provide a warm welcome. There are great choices for breakfast and our room was comfortable and spacious. There is a large living room for guest use with lots of books and games. We were very happy during our stay and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Amazing B&B;!!
Lovely warm welcome by Rebecca and James. Room was pristine and very well presented. TV with Netflix was a nice touch! Breakfast was exceptional!! Will definitely be returning here. Highly recommended.

Anyone visiting Scarborough, this is the place to stay.
A warm welcome. Spotless room. Room 3 was spacious clean and warm. Comfy superking size bed. En suite shower. Spotless, plenty of towels and toiletries. Superb breakfast. Fantastic hosts. This is one of the nicest bed and breakfasts we have ever stayed in. We have been all over the country and this was superb. Thank you, James and Rebecca.

Wow! What an exceptional stay...
From beginning to end every detail was perfect. You couldn’t ask for better hosts than Rebecca and James, who were there to welcome on arrival and at hand throughout the stay. The B&B itself is spotless and the little touches, including Smart TVs (Netflix!), made it a really premium experience.
I slept like a log, the room was extremely quiet (and mattresses the same they use at the Savoy so that explains why!)
Overall a fab weekend, thank you Rebecca and James - I look forward to next time!

Cannot fault this place!
Stayed here for two nights earlier this week. It is in a lovely location, near enough to the town centre but not right in the middle of it. This also meant a quieter area for a better nights sleep. The B & B was lovely, spacious and spotless. Rebecca and James were really friendly people and we even had some date and walnut loaf on arrival which was delicious and fresh milk was provided for tea also. The bed was really comfortable. You get a parking permit for the duration of your stay as they have permits for the road and surrounding roads, which is really handy. I would definitely stay here again.

Outstanding guest house in good location
Just about everything was perfect. The hosts, Rebecca and James did everything to make our stay good. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They obviously love their work. The breakfast is outstanding. The guest house is just beautiful. More like a boutique hotel than a guest house with lots of authentic Victorian and art deco furniture. The rooms are large and decorated beautifully. The bathroom is outstanding. It was so clean, warm and comfortable. We stayed during height of the COVID pandemic but this did not spoil our stay. We felt very safe without being made to us feel uncomfortable. We will certainly go back.

Lovely stay
We arrived on Monday afternoon to a very warm welcome from James, who firstly gave us the parking permit. The room - and the whole house - was really well furnished and decorated. After a wonderful nights sleep, we went to breakfast which was excellent, the quality of the produce was great - the eggs were nearly orange! And you must try the lemon curd.
I can't praise Cordelia enough for a fabulous stay, it's obvious it's a passion for both James and Rebecca and it shows everywhere.

Gorgeous Boutique Hotel. Outstanding Food
The Cordelia is a beautiful boutique hotel that is clean and spacious. It is furnished luxuriously and every room is finished in sympathy with the property's heritage.
The outstanding features are the hospitality and food.
Its location is perfect for visits to Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby, Filey and Bridlington.

The Cordelia - Magical
Rebecca and James have a magical B & B. The food is excellent, generous serves, superbly cooked to our liking. Nothing is too much trouble. The hosts are most attentive without hovering. Rebecca's interior design of the rooms (twin room 2) is beautiful. The beds are very comfortable. This is our second stay now. We consider the Cordelia to be outstanding and one of the best B & B's on the Yorkshire coast. Excellent value for money, superb location. Wonderful hosts. Thank you again for a brilliant stay.

Definitely 5 star!
We cannot recommend the Cordelia and the first rate hospitality of Rebecca and James too much! Our room was very clean, comfortable and very quiet with high quality bedding, towels, fixtures etc - the big bed was soooo comfy!! As most have said, the breakfast was outstanding!
Given the difficult times we face at the moment, we felt assured that cleanliness, COVID measures and safety was paramount throughout our stay.
Overall we cannot recommend the Cordelia too much and we will look forward to visiting Rebecca and James in the near future...

Fabulous Break
Our room (room 4) was very spacious and tastefully decorated with period furniture and a fantastic super king-size bed. Our hosts, Rebecca and James, were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was to die for - very tasty and well presented. I've already recommended The Cordelia to friends looking for a future booking and wouldn't hesitate to do so again. The next time we go to Scarborough I know where we'll be staying!

Stunning B&B; - Highly Recommend
The Cordelia is, without a doubt, a luxury 5* experience. From start to finish, the whole experience is wonderful. The rooms are very spacious with a seating area, smart TV and full luxury facilities and a lovely comfy (massive) bed. Public areas have such attention to detail and all the furnishings throughout are antiques with some lovely wee nick-nacks to catch your eyes as you pass.
Breakfast is superb and plentiful. Quality is superb. Rebecca, James and the team are so friendly and attentive at breakfast, nothing too much trouble.
You can pre-book a cheese/meat slate for eating in your room for dinner which is delivered at 5.30. We ordered both and the choice is immense - lots of local cheeses meats, pickles, olives, crackers, bread. Loved it!

Luxury
We were so incredibly impressed with The Cordelia! The bed was huge and so comfortable and the rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated - it felt so luxurious! We really looked forward to returning here after a day out. The owners are some of the friendliest and genuinely gracious people we’ve ever met. Breakfast was wonderful - generous portions and quality ingredients. The whole place was so clean and well kept - everything looked new! We would gladly recommend a stay.

Lovely place to stay - 10 out of 10
We stayed here for 5 nights and from the moment we were met by Rebecca nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in room 1 a lovely double room with a beautiful bathroom and a lovely deep bath, ideal for soaking in after long walks on the Cleveland Way or the Yorkshire Moores.
Breakfast was amazing such a great choice with quality ingredients, I was introduced to Haggis and Vegan Haggis and I am now hooked and had ordered some by the time I had got home. The first day we arrived we were too tired to go out for tea so we ordered the Cheese and Charcuterie slate for our room and can recommend them as they were delicious. If you are ever looking for a place to stay in Scarborough we would 100% recommend The Cordelia.
